LA Beginnings

I remember exactly where I was when Mark St. Cyr first mentioned The Verge.

It was March 2013. Mark was in Los Angeles for a national talent search and I was driving him to his callback. “I’ve got this idea for a web series,” he said, “About artists struggling with success and their relationships.” I had no idea Mark was a writer, and I would have laughed if he’d told me I’d be directing and co-producing this project with him only a few months later.

We’d graduated a year apart from Elon University’s theatre arts program after performing in two plays together and were pursuing our acting careers in LA and NYC. We’d never taken on a project of this magnitude, but great stories have a habit of drawing creative artists and I was the first person Mark got hooked on The Verge
